Bonjour! - Welcome to Paris !!
The city of romance, home to The Louvre
and the magnificent Mona Lisa, to the famous Nôtre-Dame,
Champes-Elysees, the Moulin Rouge and more! -
Paris attracts millions of visitors to the heart of this
wonderful country every year and never fails to amaze and
delight!
The River Seine splits the
city of Paris into the right bank, north of the Seine and
the Left Bank, south of the river. Paris is divided
into 20 arrondissements or districts, which spread outwards
in a loop from the central Île de la Cité to Porte de
Montreuil on the eastern edge of the city. Many readers will
recognise the "Left Bank" as being the artistic
and intellectual heart of the city and home to the renowned Latin
Quarter. The Right Bank is home to businesses, elegant
shops, The Louvre, and much more.
Paris is just 10km by 11km and is very easy to get around,
either on foot or by the excellent metro system. Exploring
Paris, you will that most of the avenues - such as the famed
Champs-Élysées, are lined with trees, fountains, and
gardens. All Visitor
Attractions are within easy reach on the metro or by
foot, if you are feeling energetic! There are also plenty of
places to visit
outside Paris, on a short train ride,
including the Palace at Versailles and Euro Disney.
Paris is all about food -
You will find innumerable restaurants on every corner, from
excellent Michelin Guide rated eateries and very
Parisian-style brasseries, to friendly family places off the
beaten path. For "Petit Dejunier" (breakfast) -
enjoy a cup of robust coffee and a warm croissant. For
lunch, enjoy some great cheese or pâté on a French
baguette, and watch the passersby, a very enjoyable pastime
in Paris - while of course taking note of all the latest
Paris fashions at the same time! Dinner time brings endless
possibilities, traditional French Fare, many international
influencesand of course there is always a show to take in
afterwards.
