Paris
is served by two Airports - Orly in the South and
Roissy/Charles de Gaulle in the North. Most
American flights arrive at Roissy airport, and
internal French flights mostly arrive at Orly.
Both Orly and Roissy have extensive international
airline facilities including duty-free shops, car
rental, restaurants, hotels, post offices, and
ground transport into the city center.
Flying
time to Paris from the United States is about 7 hours from New York or
Washington D.C., 8 hours from Atlanta or Miami, 9
hours from Chicago, and 11 hours from Los Angeles.
Air France has more connections into
Paris from European capitals than any other
airline and flying time is approximately one hour. Here are some
airlines that fly to and from Paris:

On
Arrival at Charles
de Gaulle Airport
23 km north east of Paris near the village of
Roissy-en-France is Charles de Gaulle airport. The
largest airport serving Paris, it has two
terminals, the second of which is split into
terminals 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D.
There are excellent public transport
services from Charles de Gaulle airport directly
into Paris. Taxis are best avoided as they can be
very expensive and usually get stuck in traffic
jams. You can
take the Train - the RER B, which
takes approximately 40 minutes to/from the city. A
The
Air France Airport Bus leaves every 15
Minutes (6am-11pm) and takes just 40 minutes to
get you into the central Arc de Triomphe (Etoile)
or nearby Porte maillot .
On
arrival at Orly Airport
Located just 14 kilometres south of Paris is Orly
Airport. It has two terminals refered to as
Orly-Sud (Orly South) and Orly-Ouest (Orly West).
Orly is easily accessible by taxi, but again has
similar choices of public transport as offered by
Charles de Gaulle Airport. The Orlybus,
which arrives at the RER and metro station
Denfert-Rochereau in South Paris, is quite
reasonable and fast. You can also take the RER
B, called Orlyval, but the shuttle
connection is not as well organized as at Charles
de Gaulle.
The Air France bus (departures every 12
minutes ) goes to Invalides but will drop you off,
if requested, at Porte d’Orleans or Duroc Metro.
Allow 30 minutes.
